Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Looks x 4

Hi, everybody! In my last post, I reviewed the lovely and versatile Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection. Basically, it's an eye shadow palette that looks and smells like chocolate while brilliantly featuring a great variety of shades, textures, and finishes. It certainly satisfies both the sweet tooth and eye shadow fanatic in me!

To demonstrate just how multifaceted this palette is, I've put together four unique eye looks to share with you here. It was so fun playing around with the Chocolate Bar and I hope you enjoy what I did with it!

Look #1: Haute Chocolate
This look centres around the smokey chocolate browns in the palette. I started by applying Haute Chocolate (a neutral chocolate brown with subtle shimmer) all over my lid, blending it up to the crease. I next applied Crème Brulee (a true shimmery gold) in the centre of the lid for some extra glow. I then swished some of Marzipan (a shimmery champagne) across the crease, blending it into Haute Chocolate. I finished things off by popping a bit of Champagne Truffle (a shimmery, silvery pale pink) on the inner corners and brow bones and lining my eyes with Triple Fudge (a deep, neutral matte brown).

Look #2: Gilded Ganache
This look is all about shimmery golds and champagnes. I started by sweeping Champagne Truffle (a shimmery, silvery pale pink) all over my lid, blending it up towards the brow bone. I then applied Marzipan (a shimmery champagne) over the centre of the lid and underneath my lower lash line to brighten things up. I then placed some of Hazelnut (a warm, mid-tone shimmery brown) in the crease and Gilded Ganache (a cool, mid-tone shimmery taupe) to the outer corner of the eye to add some definition.

Look #3: Candied Violet
This looks makes use of the lovely purple, pink, and plummy-toned shadows from the palette. I first applied Amaretto (a warm, shimmery plummy gold) heavily on the inner half of my lid and Candied Violet (a shimmery, cool blueish-purple) generously on the outer half. To add some drama and sparkle, I swept some of Black Forest Truffle (a deep plum with glitter) to the crease of my eye, blending up. For further definition, I applied Cherry Cordial (a warm, matte magenta) precisely in the crease of my eye and underneath the outer half of my lower lash line. To soften things slightly, I used a bit of Strawberry Bon Bon (a matte candy pink) just above the crease onto the brow bone and on the inner half of my lower lash line. For a highlight, I added a touch of Champagne Truffle (a shimmery, silvery pale pink) on the inner corners of my eye.

Look #4: Salted Caramel
This look features all of the smooth matte shades from the palette. I first applied White Chocolate (a matte ivory) all over the lid, up to the brow bone as a base. Next, I swept some of Salted Caramel (a warm, matte butterscotch) on the outer half of the eyelid and just above the crease. I then added some of Milk Chocolate (a warm, matte lighter brown) on the crease and underneath the eye for extra definition. For even more dimension, I applied Semi-Sweet (a mid-tone matte mahogany) on the crease and outer corner of the eye. Finally, I lined the eyes with Triple Fudge (a deep, neutral matte brown) and popped some of Champagne Truffle on the inner corners and brow bones as a highlight.

So there you have it- four different eye looks using the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. It was a pleasure experimenting with the various shades and textures in the collection and I was happy with the results! After giving the palette a fair shake, I can say that my favourite shades are Marzipan (gives such a beautiful, glowy shimmer), Salted Caramel (a smooth matte texture in a unique butterscotch tone), Amaretto (such a stunning, multifaceted pigmented golden plum), and Champagne Truffle (a perfect highlight!).

Which of these looks is your favourite? Are you tempted by the Chocolate Bar?

Thanks for stopping by! xo
