Life Recently #2

Hi, everyone! Time for another installment of Life Recently, where I feature some fun, colourful photos from the last month or so. A couple shots may be makeup-related, but I'm using this series to post pictures from other areas of my lift- great food, adventures around the city, and- inevitably- my adorable cat. Hope you enjoy them!

Colourful Brunch at Karine's in downtown Toronto. Eggs Florentine, home fries, salad, and fresh fruit!

Sadie, looking cute. Pretty green eyes!

February, on my crazy desk calendar. Flying hostess!

Candid shot of my boyfriend exploring a really old portion of the underground PATH in Toronto, near Union Station. Love the brick and winding staircase!

Perfect solitary lunch at one of my favourite cafes in my neighbourhood, the Rustic Owl. Avocado and brie sandwich, salad, a coconut latte (with real coconut!) and a good book :)

A shot of the Rustic Owl Cafe. Love the decor! It's so kitsch and, well, rustic!

A couple new nail polishes. Can't wait to give them a try! (L-R): O.P.I. Live and Let Die and Revlon ColorStay Velvet Rope

Retro wall hanging in my apartment. I think she's pretty cute!

I always find the most random adorable items in Chinatown. This is a magnetic bookmark featuring a cat dressed as a sailor :)

Went out for Mexican with my friend last week at La Mexicana in Yorkville. Had the vegetarian plate and, of course, a large margarita in a cactus cup!

That's it! Hope some of these photos brought a smile to your face- or at least made you hungry for a good meal! :) What have you been up to this month?

Thanks for reading! xoxo

  5. Coconut Latte sounds like my dream coffee and I'm a bit jealous of your copy of The Girl With A Dragon Tattoo - it's a lot prettier than mine! x Becky

  7. Two questions: Where is the Rustic Owl and WHERE in Union is that staircase!

    1. Hey, Allison! The Rustic Owl is near Bloor and Dovercourt, just a few blocks west of Ossington. I love it! And I don't know exactly where the staircase is (I always get a bit disoriented underground), but it's in the PATH somewhere between King Street and Union. It's in a portion that looks like it's been preserved since the '20s!
