Hi, everyone! The subtitle of this post should be "give this gal a tiny discount and she will shop till she drops". My Sephora VIB status was quite recently renewed and, when I found out that this came along with a limited-time 10% off coupon, I got ready to pounce. Ten percent is far from a generous bargain, but since Sephora hosts sales so very rarely (they have me wrapped around their little sparkly finger, they do!), I was pretty excited. I strolled into the Yorkville Sephora location on Friday with coupon in hand and took my time to swatch and swipe dozens of product hopefuls.
After careful consideration and lots of play, I picked up three products from three brands that are much loved by this gal: Too Faced, Josie Maran, and Marc Jacobs. Here is a shot of the packaging:
And here's a glimpse of my new goodies unboxed and ready to play!
Too Faced Love Flush in I Will Always Love You
I've heard mixed things about these new blush offerings from Too Faced, but the packaging had me leaning towards the side of "yes, you must". When I read this review from Lilting Grace, the deal was sealed. I Will Always Love You is a gorgeous golden melon shade that I know will look amazing year-round.
Josie Maran Coconut Watercolour Eye Shadow in Maui Teal
I am no stranger to these little fluid eye shadows- I already own three of them (reviews here, here, and here). The range features the most beautiful colours and these babies truly wear all day long! When I spotted this golden teal shade in Josie Maran's summer collection, I knew I had to take it home.
Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop Eye Stick in Honey Bunny
I've swatched these so many times in the past- the shades are lovely, the glimmery finish is stunning, and they have the nicest cooling effect on the skin. But it was this recent review from Killer Colours that totally convinced me I needed Honey Bunny in my life. From the flattering pinky beige hue to the nearly wet-looking sheen- it's perfection!
Here are swatches of the three products on my inner arm (MAC NC15 skin tone):
(L-R): Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop Eye Stick in Honey Bunny, Too Faced Love Flush in I Will Always Love You, Josie Maran Coconut Watercolour Eye Shadow in Maui Teal |
And while this shot is a little blurry, it actually shows the finish of the products quite well. I mean, look at the twinkle of Honey Bunny, the subtle golden sheen in I Will Always Love You, and the metallic gorgeousness of Maui Teal. Stunners, all three!
While there's no question that I didn't need any new makeup items (understatement of the century), with my 10% discount in hand, I'm pretty certain that I snagged three of the most beautiful (and potentially underrated) items in the store. They are all entirely perfect for summer and I cannot wait to sport them soon!
Has Sephora lured you in lately? Have you tried any of the goodies featured here?
Thanks for dropping by! xo
What a great excuse to rack up some points and cross some items off the wishlist ;-) The Too Faced blush looks gorgeous and the colours you picked out in this haul are amazing!!

For sure! I'm really happy with all my picks :)
DeleteACCCK NEEDS that Josie Maran Maui Teal WOWZA!! Good choices!
ReplyDeleteYes, you do, Tracy!! Thanks :)
DeleteI'm so incredibly tempted by the new Too Faced blushes! Like you, I've read lots of mixed reviews, and while the shades are pretty they wouldn't be anything unique in my collection...BUT THAT PACKAGING. I'm so tornnnnn :P The Marc Jacobs twinkle stick is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteTasha // shiwashiful.
I've seen mixed reviews too, but I'm so happy with the one I chose. And the packaging really is the best! :)
DeleteOh my...that teal eyeshadow! I've never heard of the formula, looks a bit strange but would love to see a makeup look with it though! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Coconut Watercolour Shadows are so worth checking out! They're liquid, but really wear all day :)
DeleteGood choices! I really want that blush, and would love to get my hands on it when it turns up here in Australia.
ReplyDeleteI hope it shows up in your neck of the woods soon :)
DeleteAwesome picks!! They would be items I would pick out too if I could!!! =)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I deliberated quite a bit, and am so happy with my choices :)
DeleteOoooh I picked up the same blush after seeing it reviewed - it does not disappoint. Such a pretty colour! But that teal eyeshadow, I don't have anything like it, but am feeling like I desperately need it now lol.
ReplyDeleteOoh, glad you're enjoying the blush too! It really is gorgeous! And you should so check out Maui Teal :)

ReplyDeleteI saw that Teal shadow online and immediately thought of you!!! Love what you picked out. Even a 10% discount is good enough to encourage a haul.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I'm happy to now be associated with those shadows- they're amazing :)
DeleteOhh that blusher looks so nice! Cuuute packaging too!

Thanks so much, Stephanie! Much appreciated :)
DeleteI feel so tortured whenever I walk into Sephora and see the Too Faced blushes. I held one in my hand for 10 minutes while I walked around the store, but in the end, I put it down. I'm beginning to think I need to go back for it.
ReplyDeleteThat Marc Jacobs stick though. Wow! Adding that to my list, lol.
I've heard mixed reviews about the blushes, but the one I picked up is totally worth it! The MJ sticks are gorgeous too :)
Deletegreat products!

Thanks, Melanie! I'm loving them :)
DeleteAah I need that blush so badly for the packaging alone!!
ReplyDeleteMakeup Monster
You really do! The formula and shade are lovely to boot :)
DeleteOMG, Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop is gorgeous! I have a few similar shades as that but for some reason I want everything that is close to that shade, is it strange? I think I have a problem. LOL!
ReplyDeleteShireen | Reflection of Sanity
Not strange at all! I'm the same :) The Twinkle Pops really are lovely :)
DeleteOOO new sparkling things! I haven't tried any of these because none of the brands is available over here, but I've heard great things about all of them! I keep thinking the MJ shadow sticks are similar to the Chanel ones, but I did go through the ingredient lists and realized they are totally different ;)
ReplyDeleteAh, too bad you can't access these brands! Maybe one day we'll do a swap :) Based on swatching, the Chanel sticks really do feel and look similar!
DeleteLove this brand, nice products, dear. ^^
ReplyDeleteNew post is online...
Thanks, Vanessa :)
DeleteI'm $5 away from VIB renewal, which is a bit painful because I'd really just like to have that 10% off without spending the extra five bucks now! GRRR!!
ReplyDeleteI'm having some serious lusty thoughts over what you bought. I've been dying to get my hands on one of those Too Faced blushes but haven't cracked yet. And that's totally the shade I was eyeballing too!
That Josie Maran eyeshadow is pure insanity. I've never bought anything by her but I keep being tempted by her coconute watercolour options. That colour... damn. DAMN!
I've heard mixed reviews on the blushes, but I'm really so happy with the one I picked up! And the packaging :) The Coconut Watercolour shadows are truly an underrated product- they're fabulous! :)
DeleteThey all look fab. That teal eye shadow is just so pretty! Also the packaging of that blusher is so cute!
ReplyDeletewww.elabellaworld.com
If you love teal shadows, it's definitely worth checking out! And the Too Faced blushes really are adorable :)
DeleteI hit up the Sephora VIB Rouge event last week and purchased Too Faced new Born This Way Foundation and Love Palette. Kicking myself for not getting the Love Flush blush now. I think I will definitely go back and get one. All the shades look so gorgeous. But now I definitely want to look for this MJ Pop Eye stick. That finish is stunning <3
ReplyDeleteThe blushes are so worth it! And I've definitely been eyeing up the new Too Faced foundation too :) The MJ sticks are lovely!
Deleteif i ever remembered to use eye shadow pencils the MJ one would be on my to buy. for a moment i thought you had picked up one of their liners (which work great). i didn't know they had eye shadow sticks too!
ReplyDeletei'm going to try and avoid renewing my status for this year...so far i'm doing ok at it lol.
Their liners are amazing too! I only own one of them, but end up swatching the whole lot all the time. Such pretty shades! But yeah, if you ever feel inclined, check out the Twinkle Pops too :)

Oh my goodness, the Josie Maran eyeshadow! I need it!
ReplyDeleteThe bunnies on the Too Faced blush are beyond cute. I'm trying to decide which color I want.
You do, Ingrid- it's lovely! It was hard to narrow down my blush choice, but I'd seen a rave for I Will Always Love You and I'm happy with my pick :)
DeleteOmg.. that teal! I haven't looked into any of those shadows before.. but man, do I love how vibrant that is! I'm also a sucker for any beige cream shadows. They're great to use as shadow bases!
ReplyDeleteThe JM Coconut Watercolour Shadows really are fabulous! I'm the same with creamy beige shadows- the MJ twinkle pops are so worth checking out :)
Deletethat Marc Jacobs ain't no slacker! Loving his stuff lately! Also, isn't 'I Will Always Love You' bomb? gotta love dat peach
ReplyDeleteThat's for sure- MJ is great! And I bought that Too Faced blush because of your rave for it and I wasn't disappointed :)
DeleteThank you, Adela! :)
