Look of the Day: Frambourjoise

Hi, everyone! Plum eyes and berry lips? Fall must be around the corner! Today's look started off as my first experiment with the Chanel Les 4 Ombres quad in Tisse Rivoli, which is a gorgeous mix of shimmery gold and plummy neutrals (check out my recent review, here!). Normally I'd let eye shades so beautiful stand on their own, but this time around I opted to contrast the soft smokey shadow with richer lip and cheek shades as well. Sometimes you just have to go full force on all fronts!

The reason I couldn't help but swipe on a bold lip was because I had my new Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets to test out. For this look, I opted for Frambourjoise, a warm reddened berry shade. I'm so in love with this lip colour! I can see it being perfect year-round, and especially during the colder months when a rich shade like this will feel right at home. To complement Frambourjoise, I pulled out one of my favourite warm pinky berry blushes, Sleek Blush in Flamingo

As I mentioned, the eyes were all about showcasing my new Chanel Les 4 Ombres in Tisse Rivoli, which features absolutely gorgeous shades of copper, golden, and plum-tinged neutrals. I applied the warm golden base shade all over my lid as well as over the crease as a transition. I swept the neutral brown shade on the crease and lightly on the lower lash line to shape the eye. I then applied the deep plummy shade on the outer corner and the upper lash line for extra definition. Finally, I popped touches of the pale ivory shade as a highlight on my brow bone and the inner corners of my eye. And, voila!
