Favourite Makeup Looks from the Golden Globes

Hi, everyone! I'm a sucker for a good awards show- not only do they keep me updated on the amazing films I need to see (sooo many to catch up on this season, eek!), they inevitably provide some fantastic makeup inspiration. I'm not one to fawn over every celeb out there, but there are a handful that rarely get it  wrong. True beauties with true personality and style. I tend to gravitate towards the looks that evoke either a sense of playfulness and fun or classic Hollywood glamour. In the best instances, they channel both!

Here are my picks for the best makeup looks at this Sunday's Golden Globes:

1) Emma Stone. Emma is a perennial red carpet favourite of mine. She is fun and quirky, while always looking polished and glamorous. On Sunday night, she flaunted my most-loved look on the carpet. The muted red lips, graphic navy cat eye, and plush lashes might of looked over-the-top on somebody else, but on Emma- perfection!

2) Jessica Chastain. Jessica is another actress who always gets it perfect on the carpet. While I've fawned over her classic red lip worn at previous shows, it was her sultry smokey eye that caught my attention this time. One part '70s, one part old Hollywood, Jessica looked totally radiant with her peachy lips and cheeks and metallic bronze and golden eye.

3) Kate Hudson. I've always admired Kate's beauty and lately her red carpet looks have been spot-on. At this Sunday's awards, the look was feminine, minimal, and polished. The lips are eyes were super soft, while the cheeks were perfectly flushed with a tawny peach blush. She looked healthy, radiant- a perfect example of understated glam!

4) Lupita Nyong'o. This amazing actress stole my heart in 12 Years a Slave and has inspired my fashion senses with all of her red carpet wins since then. In terms of makeup, I love that Lupita plays with colour. This year's Golden Globes were no exception, where she sported some serious berry lips and jewel-toned eyes.

5) Diane Kruger. Diane is such a classic beauty and always looks so polished and elegant on the red carpet. This look was no exception! With soft pink lips, smokey champagne eyes, sculpted cheeks, and velvety flawless skin, she was quite the vision!

Which of these looks is your favourite? Who sported your favourite makeup look at the Golden Globes this year? Which celeb's makeup are you constantly fawning over?

Any of these looks you'd like me to re-create in a tutorial?

Thanks for stopping by! xo

  4. A lot more smoky eyes on the runway, I love it! I often find when people go bare(ish) on their face I get so bored.
