And now for some descriptions of the shades! I've included links to lipsticks that I've featured previously on the blog:
Chantecaille Lip Chic in Amaryllis is my only lip colour from this luxury brand and, let me say, it's worth the high price tag! Amaryllis is a stunning warm, reddish rose with a semi-sheer finish and a shiny, moisturizing texture. Like heaven on the lips. You can see me wearing it, here!
Guerlain Rouge Automatique in Bal de Mai is a unique brownish rose with subtle gold shimmer. It has a nearly opaque colour payoff and a slightly shiny finish. Also quite luxurious and incredibly versatile!
NARS Semi-Sheer Lipstick in Dolce Vita is my go-to "my lips but better" shade. It's cult status is well-earned; I can't rave about it enough! It's a sheer, warm rose that adds a touch of oomph to the lips without screaming "I'm wearing lipstick". See my review and photos of it, here!
Clinique High Impact Lipstick in Rosette is a lovely, slightly warm, true rose shade with a subtle golden sheen. One of the nicest Gift with Purchase Clinique lipsticks out there! See a couple photos of me wearing it here.
MAC Lustre Lipstick in Lustering is my go-to lipstick when I want a pop of colour on the lips without wearing anything too vivid or neon. It's a slightly cool candy pink with a semi-sheer, shiny finish. Ultra pretty!
Revlon ColourBurst Lip Butter in Sweet Tart is actually a near-dupe for MAC Lustering. Also a perky candy pink, that's just a touch more sheer and glossy than Lustering. Very girly! You can see my review of it here.
Chanel Rouge Allure in Boudoir was one of my first-ever high-end lipsticks. Like the previous two shades mentioned, it's a vivid candy pink, but with a slightly warmer hue and subtle gold shimmer. I don't reach for it often anymore, but it really is a lovely shade! You can see me feature it here (in one of my first blog posts ever- a hit of nostalgia!)
Guerlain Rouge G in Grenade is an opaque neutral rosy raspberry shade with a nearly matte finish. Ultra luxurious and surprisingly versatile. Top-notch packaging as well!
And now for a couple more super-sized photos!
There you have it! My most favourite rose-toned lipsticks. This post really made me appreciate this selection of shades. While I often tout vibrant oranges and fuchsias or deep, sultry vampy shades, sometimes a soft, rosy pink is the easiest way to feel fresh and pretty!
What are some of your favourite rosy-toned lipsticks? Any that I featured piquing your interest??
