Illamasqua Speckled Nail Varnish in Scarce |
Illamasqua Speckled Nail Varnish in Scarce |
When I first showed this polish off to my boyfriend, he exclaimed "whoa, that's just like the outside of a jawbreaker candy!" I'm usually quick to laugh off his impressions of my makeup finds (because really, guys' opinions of makeup are typically adorable, hilarious, and a bit off-base), but this impression was pretty spot-on! So whether you see robin's egg or jaw breaker, this polish is totally mesmerizing!
As for the formula, I am totally wowed so far. I've now been wearing the polish for 3 full days and there are zero chips! An incredibly impressive feat, given that I spent much of the weekend passing presents and opening cards at my sister's bridal shower! Plus, three days later there is still a nice shiny finish to the polish and none of the glitter has fallen out. Couldn't be happier!
Here are a few more photos:
What are your thoughts of this shade? Something you'd wear? Have you tried any of the Speckled Nail Varnishes from the Imperfection collection?
Cheers! xo
Pretty nails~
ReplyDeleteI would love to try out these polishes but I can't justify the price!

Thanks, Rebeka! I've been loving it :)
DeleteWow, glad to hear about it not chipping. I have been interested in these polishes, and would probably go for the pink as well. The blue reminds me too much of a bird's egg, and for some reason that really grosses me out! haha
ReplyDeleteHaha, I actually like the birds' egg look, but the pink tone in Scarce won me over! Thanks for stopping by, Lisa :)
DeleteOoooh my god, I really want this one - exactly in this shade :)! Those products are awesome, love that brand.

ReplyDeleteIsn't it lovely?! But yeah, the price definitely scared me too (about $20 with tax, eek)! I just discovered some Hard Candy polishes that are quite similar. Gonna test them out soon to see if they're comparable :)
DeleteI went to the Eaton Centre yesterday and these are already sold out! I did pick up a hot pink by Illamasqua instead though haha.
DeleteHaha, I was at the Eaton's Sephora yesterday too (VIB sale!) and noticed they were all gone. Hope they re-stock soon! And hope you like the polish you picked up- love hot pinks! xo
