2015 Favourites: The Palettes

Hi, everyone! The 2015 Favourites train keeps chugging along and today I have for you my picks for the most amazing palettes of last year! Some were stunning new releases of 2015 and others were those that finally made it into my stash over the past 12 months. Each is loved for being flattering, versatile, and wearable, yet possessing something special and unique to catch my eye. Check out these beauts:

Chanel Les Quatres Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow in Tisse Fantaisie
This was part of Chanel's Spring 2015 collection and I'm so glad I snagged it! It's such a unique combo of bronze, lush green, and cheery coral- the neutral shades can be worn for a flattering work look and the colours can be added in for something special. I've worn this lots! You can see it swatched here and me wearing it here

Gucci Magnetic Colour Shadow Quad in Crystal Copper
I was drawn to Gucci makeup when in NYC in June, as the brand is not available here in Toronto. The range is beautiful and I may have found the prettiest, most versatile product of the bunch! Crystal Copper is a unique, but wearable mix of ivory, copper, gold, and deep plum. Soft and sultry! You can see it reviewed here and me wearing it here

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette in The Dolce Vita
Probably the most raved about Charlotte Tilbury product, and with good reason! It is sexy, retro-inspired, glamorous, and flattering. Every time I wear it I feel like a '60s movie star vacationing in Italy, which I really think is this palette's main goal :) Reddish copper tones can wash me out, but these shades work so well with my brown eyes. Tom Ford Pink Glow Eye and Cheek Compact
This was a gift to myself for defending my PhD dissertation and it really was the perfect luxurious treat. The blushes in this palette, a rich cranberry and a shimmery pinky peach, are so incredibly soft, blendable, and beautiful on the skin. The shadows are also beautiful and work wonderfully together to create a sparkly golden berry eye. This was pricey, but it did not disappoint one bit! Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No.7 Plush Eyeshadow Palette in The Night Owl
This was a late-year edition, but rose to tops in my ranks pretty much instantly. The shades are rich and pigmented and the colour combination is unique and dramatic, but completely flattering. My favourite types of eye shadow palettes include both a range of neutrals as well as a couple pops of colour and The Night Owl fits that bill perfectly! Can you blame me for falling smitten with any of these? With a makeup milieu of a thousand palettes on the market, it takes a lot for one to truly catch my eye and win me over. These clearly made the cut and continue to impress me every time I wear them!

Have you tried any of these palettes? What were your favourite palettes of 2015?

Have a fantastic day! xo
