Life Recently #6

Hey, everybody! Time for another installment of Life Recently, where I share with you some fun, colourful photos from my non-makeup-related life. My summer has been incredibly busy with school work, but I've managed to fit in a bit of travel, outdoor concerts, days in the park, and lots of sunshine. Here are some of my favourite shots from late June and July!

In June I visited my friend in Michigan, which warranted a visit to Nordstrom rack. I brought all of these goodies to the dressing room, and the sales woman noticed "Wow, you really like prints, eh?" Looking at my selections, I think she was right!

I ended up walking away with this beaut, a graphic floral dress from Michael Kors. At 70% off, I couldn't go wrong! Love the bold print and bright pink tones :)

While in Ann Arbor, we also visited the Arboretum, a beautiful forest with hiking trails, lovely flowers and a scenic river. There's something so peaceful about taking a walk under the trees!
Posing by the river in my brand new vintage top!

Ann Arbor also brought incredible pizza! Makes my mouth water every time I look at it :)

On a rare day off, the bf and I spent the afternoon in High Park in Toronto. The weather was sweltering that day, but we took cover under some beautiful trees!

We were visited by a little grasshopper friend, who stuck around for quite a while!

Board games on a vintage picnic blanket in the shade :)

Beautiful sky in High Park

Summertime also means baseball! I'm a huge Detroit Tigers fan, so I make sure to get to a game when they play the Blue Jays in Toronto. The Sky Dome looks really beautiful and dramatic at nighttime!

Last month I attended the Toronto Urban Roots Festival (TURF) which featured an incredible lineup of indie rock bands. The day turned out to be a rainy, muddy, sloppy mess, but I kept as dry as I could in my boyfriend's vintage ALF poncho! Lots of people were jealous :)

The festival ended with a performance by Belle and Sebastian. They were fantastic!

Sadie, looking precious, as always :)

Incredible breakfast, made by the bf. Coconut pancakes with banana, blueberry cheese, and chocolate shavings. I am way spoiled!

Beautiful sunny afternoon at Toronto's lakeshore :)

And, as always, ending things with a shot of my super crazy desk calendar! Makes me laugh every day :)

And that's it! Hope you enjoyed a peek into my summer so far! What have you been up to this summer!

Have a fantastic weekend! xo
