Top 20 Products of 2014!

Hi, everyone- Happy New Year!! Whether you rang in 2015 covered in glitter on the dance floor or snug in your sweats with a cup of tea, I hope your celebration was perfect :)

Before I dive head first into 2015, I thought I'd round up my very favourite products from the past year and give them their proper dues. Narrowing the options down to 20 was ultra tough (probably a sign that my stash is way too big, eek), but I did my best to extract my most-used, most-loved makeup and skin care goodies from 2014. Here's a peek at the top 20! Since the list is long, I'll keep my comments short, but sweet.

Complexion + Cheeks
Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Smooth Effect Makeup
Lightweight, luminous matte formula with a natural medium coverage. Wears well and doesn't break me out!
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes
These make cheeks look luminous, the packaging is beautiful, the formula blends effortlessly, and the colour wears all day!
Clinique Cheek Pop in Ginger Pop
Not sure why I don't own more of these. The design is beautiful and unique and the formula is smooth, pigmented, and long-wearing.
Inglot Freedom System Blushes (+ HD Sculpting Powder #504)
I have and love many Inglot eye shadows, but the blushes stole the show this year. Incredibly pigmented and long-wearing. And I've found my HG contour powder!
Coastal Scents 10 Blush Palette
Terribly inexpensive and each shade is a stunner! Ultra pigmented colour that really wears all day.

Skin Care
The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
My new favourite makeup remover! Takes off everything, never irritates or breaks me out, and is perfectly affordable!
Pai BioRegenerate Rosehip Oil
This is full of beautiful ingredients, is deeply hydrating, brightens my complexion, and doesn't lead to breakouts. And I love the herbal scent!
Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask
The best deep cleansing mask I've tried! Leaves skin bright and clear without drying or irritating the skin. Refreshing to use and worth the price tag.
Kiehl's Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash
This has restored my faith in foaming cleanser! Leaves my skin clean without any stripping or tightness. Feels gentle and smells great!
Oskia Bedtime Beauty Boost
This has become my new favourite night cream! Feels rich, yet sinks in quickly and always leaves my skin glowing the next morning.

Lips
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets
I've never tried a matte lip product that feels so comfortable on the lips. Plus, the shades are vibrant and gorgeous!
NYX Butter Glosses
Seriously the best lip glosses I've tried. Smooth, creamy, and offer a variety of flattering shades.
Illamasqua Lipsticks
I hadn't tried lipsticks from Illamasqua till this year and I'm so glad I did. Full-on matte colour that makes a statement without drying the lips.

Eyes
Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No.7 The Siren
The most versatile, stunning vibrant shadow palette out there! I got a ton of use from these rainbow shades, especially over the summer!
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection
A perfect mix of neutrals and brighter shades, shimmers and mattes, and nudes and smokey tones. Plus it smells like chocolate!
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette
You can't go wrong with Urban Decay shadows and this palette offers a perfect mix of roses, plums, and golds. It's gorgeous stuff!
Josie Maran Coconut Watercolour Eye Shadows
I was so pleasantly surprised by these! With coconut water as a base, these are incredibly pigmented and truly wear crease-free all day long.
Clarins Ombre Matte in Rosewood
These have such a lovely, unique texture! They smooth over lids effortlessly and stay put with a satin matte finish.
Flower Beauty Colour Play Creme Eye Shadow in Flirty Floret
Perhaps the best cream shadow I've tried! A little goes a very long way, the shades are bold and metallic, and the wear time is fab!
Artdeco All In One Liquid Liner
The best liquid liner I've tried in a while! So easy to apply, gorgeous bold colour, and is completely waterproof!

Phewf, that's a lot of favourites! 2014 was a fantastic year for discovering new products and hopefully you enjoyed reading a bit about my most treasured discoveries!

I also want to extend a huge thank you for all of your support and readership over the past year. Means so very much to me! Here's to a beautiful 2015! xo

  1. Amazing picks! So many beautiful blushes! It's decided, next time I hit up the Josie Maran counter - I am buying a watercolour shadow! I really did love the Naked 3 this year! I have Clinique Peach Pop and the formula is definitely unique. I'm still getting the hang of it but the finish is gorgeous!

  12. Great idea limiting your post to just those top 20 products! Mine got a little too long!

I really need to crack open a new foundation, but waiting for my current ones to finish before I can! That CHANEL one is long overdue for a review haha!

  14. I'd love to try the Pai BioRegenerate Rosehip Oil. It's hard to find an oil that doesn't clog up my skin and give me breakouts, so this sounds ideal!
Also, those NYX butter glosses have been on my list for so long. Just this afternoon I was eyeing them at the drugstore, but I think I'll wait until there's a sale, then I'll swoop in and like buy all the colours lol.
