Look of the Day: Bondi Beach Babe

Hi, everyone! A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to get involved with an exciting Australian Drugstore Makeup Haul with Leah from Temporary Princess. We set a budget and went wild with procuring collections of pretty drugstore goodies. Leah sent me an amazing lot of products and I couldn't wait to dig in and give them a go!Everything was super stunning and my next few posts will be Looks of the Day featuring the Australian makeup I received in the swap. All with cheesy Australian-themed names!

Today's look features warm, summery shades of coral, gold and bronze. Perfect for this time of year and most definitely beachy! I bronzed up the skin using Chi Chi's Mosaic Bronzer in Medium (a gorgeous multi-coloured palette) and I added a warm, subtle pop of colour to the cheeks using Australis Blush in Sand Dune. For the lips, I used the super pretty Colour by TBN Kiss & Makeup #881, a warm coral orange tinted balm.

For the eyes, I used the Chi Chi Glamorous Nudes eye shadow palette, which is a clear dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palette. The similarities were immediately evident, and luckily this copycat is well worth it! The shades are super pigmented with some beautiful shimmer. For this look, I focused on the shades in the centre of the palette: a warm, shimmery gold, a bronzy brown, and a cool, deep cocoa. Loved the glow and dimension these gave! I added some extra drama with the slick Designer Brands Australia Savvy Liquid Eyeliner in Black.

Here is a shot of all of the lovely Australian products I used in the look:

And for a full breakdown of everything I used!

Foundation Primer: Sunday Riley Effortless Tinted Breathable Primer in Light
Foundation: By Terry Cover Expert #1
Concealer: BeneFit Fake-Up in Light (under eyes) and MAC Select Cover-Up in NC20 (on blemishes and redness)
Powder: MAC Blot Powder in Medium
Contour: Kevin Aucoin The Sculpting Powder in Medium

Blush: Australis Blush in Sand Dune
Bronzer: Chi Chi Mosaic Bronzer in Medium

Brows: Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Taupe and Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in Caramel
Eye Primer: Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original
Eye Shadow: Chi Chi Glamorous Nudes eye shadow palette (focusing on the centre of the palette)

Eyeliner: Designer Brands Australia Savvy Liquid Eyeliner in Black.
Mascara: d.j.v. Beautinizer Volume Lash

Lipstick: Colour By TBN Kiss & Makeup in #881

And a few more shots of the look:

This was my first foray into Australian drugstore cosmetics and I have to say I was impressed. No surprise that makeup from the land down under would create a beautiful beachy feel, but I was also amazed with the texture and pigmentation of the products. All so nice!

Look out for my next two posts, which will feature more goodies from the swap. I hope you like them!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you're all having a wonderful weekend :)

  8. I really dig this natural bronzed babe look on you! I've done similar swaps with a friend in Germany and have never been disappointed (if you ever from a Euro penpal, get some Catrice cosmetics!). I'll be in Australia in the fall, would you suggest picking up some of these brands?
