Inglot Times Square Haul!

Hi, everyone! In my last post I shared with you all of the beauty goodies I picked up during my recent trip to New York City. Today's entry features my adventures at Inglot Times Square, my very first contact with the brand and a super fun makeup experience!

Above are the wonderful items that I picked up during my visit, but let's start at the beginning! I stopped by the Inglot shop near Times Square on Day 2 of my Big Apple trip. It was a must on my travel list, and as you can see, I was pretty happy to have found it!

I knew from the outset that I wanted to take advantage of their amazing Freedom System range, which lets you design custom palettes of eye shadow, blush, and/or lip products. Here's the incredible plethora of shades I had to choose from!

I opted to create a 5-pan eye shadow palette and the friendly sales people quickly helped me get down to business. They gave me a magnetized slab where I could attach the shades I ultimately chose. I could pop them right out of the display on the counter and onto my own customized board. How neat!

Here's a shot of the 5 shades that I ultimately selected, along with the sampler sponges that helped me make my decision! I opted for a mix of cool and warm tones with a pop of purple. I didn't want to go all-neutral, as my new Naked Palette is taking care of those needs, but I wanted to also pick a few that would be work-friendly. The shades I chose were:

Pearl 434 (a deep purple grey with silver shimmer- perfectly smokey!)
Pearl 446 (a warm-toned eggplant with subtle pink shimmer)
Shine 152 (a light silvery taupe with a lovely glow and a particularly buttery texture)
Shine 31 (a light gilded bronze, to add some warmth to the palette)
Shine 08 (a luminous gold champagne that works as a ethereal highlight)

Here are the spoils of my 5-Pan Eye Shadow Freedom System Palette, all laid out nicely on the hotel bed. I had to photograph them as soon as we got in! You can see that initially the shadows and palette are packaged individually:

And here's the palette all finished, shades arranged and inserted! The palette features magnetic backing so that all of the pans snap snugly and firmly into place:

(L-R): Inglot Shine 08, Shine 31, Pearl 446, Shine 152, Pearl 434

The cover of the palette is translucent and stamped with the Inglot logo. It also attaches magnetically, which is super neat! Overall, the palette is incredibly functional and sturdy. Will be great for travel for sure!

Here's a shot of the palette with the lid mostly slid open (you can pull it off entirely or slide it like this) along with the other Inglot product I picked up on the day:

I fell for Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel in shade #89, as my makeup collection was seriously lacking a brown cream liner and because I thought it would make a wonderful base for the shades in my palette if I wanted to create a smokey eye! It has a beautifully creamy texture and cute, compact packaging:

Here are swatches of all of the shades on my inner arm (MAC NC15 skin tone) under different lighting sources. As you can see, all of the colours are beautifully pigmented without being gaudy or overpowering:

Left to Right: Eye Shadows in Shine 08, Shine 31, Pearl 446, Shine 152, Pearl 434, AMC Eyeliner Gel #89

And here are a couple shots of me wearing a look using all of the shades above!

And finally, a quick snap of the bag all of my goodies came in. It was also a perfect souvenir because it pictures the Inglot shop I visited as it's situated in the bustling Times Square. Neat!

My first visit to Inglot really was an incredible experience. Not only was it fun stopping by the vibrant and dynamic Times Square location, the palette was extremely exciting to create (yes, for us beauty junkies, this stuff is exciting!) and I'm super pleased with the goodies I took home. I will definitely be dropping by again next time I'm in New York!

Have you tried any products from Inglot? Ever created your own palette? Any of the shades I featured up your alley?

Thanks for stopping by! xo
