Clinique Party Favours

It's no secret that I've been a Clinique devotee for ages. While I fell out of love with their 3-Step skin care years ago, their mascaras and lip products have remained tops in my book. Some of my very favourites! When it came time to oh-so-subtly (not at all subtly) give my parents gift ideas for me for Christmas, the Clinique Party Favours Set was near the top of my list.

In my opinion, this kit really has it all! It features everything you need for a colourful smokey eye and some rich, vibrant goodies for nails and lips. At only $47, I found the kit to be an incredible value, as I'll definitely be using everything from it on a regular basis.

The set includes:

High Impact Mascara in Black- in my top 3 mascaras of all time! Gives amazing length and volume without clumping.
Quickliner For Eyes Intense in Black Honey- a killer plummy brown shade with impressive pigmentation and wear time. A new staple!
All About Shadow Quad- features a Limited Edition Pink shade (a glittery cotton candy pink), Hazy (a shimmery taupe), Raspberry Beret (a matte fuchsia berry), and Chocolate Covered Cherry (a deep plummy brown). They work fantastically together to create a colourful smokey eye!
All About Eyes (15mL)- a great no-fuss eye treatment that smooths and moisturizes and wears well under makeup
A Different Nail Enamel For Sensitive Skins in Cosmo Chic- a rich, vibrant raspberry shade. Can't wait to try it! And who knew they made nail polishes for sensitive skin?
Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Roundest Raspberry- believe it or not, my first Clinique Chubby Stick for Lips. Gives incredible pigmentation, keeps lips moisturized, and wears quite well! A lovely grape-berry shade that I've been wearing often!
Pink and Purple Makeup Bag- can be used full-sized (like in the first photo) or folded over and secured with a snap for a more compact carry-all. The cheery colours make it extra fun!

And here is a makeup look I created using everything from the Clinique Party Favours set (except for the nail polish):

As you can see, the eye shadow shades work wonderfully to create a look that's fun, a bit smokey, but totally wearable! The Black Honey liner gives the ultimate definition to the look (a great alternative to black!), and Roundest Raspberry adds the perfect touch of colour and shine to the lips. Love all of them!

I paired the colours from the kit with my new By Terry Cover Expert Perfecting Fluid Foundation in Shade #1 and Blush Terrybly Ultimate Radiance Blush in Sexy Plum (check them out in my NYC Beauty Haul post, here), which I think work with the Party Favours shades quite well!

And there you go! I really think Party Favours was one of the best holiday gift sets of 2013. Features a great range of products that all compliment each other so nicely! The mascara was already a favourite of mine and the eyeliner and lip colour have already become staples. So happy with everything!
