Here Comes (my lovely little sister) the Bride!

Happy Friday, everyone! A few days ago I shared a quick post explaining that my blogging had been more sparse of late because I was busy with Maid of Honour duties for my little sister's wedding. The day was busy for sure, but everything was super lovely, especially my sister who made the most beautiful bride ever (in my biased opinion). The weather cooperated in the best way and we had an amazing time celebrating with friends and family. Couldn't have asked for a better day!

A few of you requested to see some more shots from the wedding, so here's a photo diary of the big day! Being in the wedding party, I don't have any pictures of the ceremony itself, but here are some captures from the hustle and bustle beforehand and the super fun reception afterwards. Enjoy!

My sister's dress. It suited her so perfectly!

Getting the dress laced up. She really couldn't have looked more beautiful. Was such a proud big sister!

All dressed, our fuzzy cat Simon in the background

The happy couple at the hall before the reception began

Family shot! All smiles :)

The new bride and groom making their big entrance into the reception hall, drumming it out to Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" (insert dramatic drum solo here)

First dance, all smiles

Father-Daughter dance in front of the stunning head table

Said something to make each other laugh!

Of course I had to take at least one food photo! The yummy dessert: heart-shaped ice cream on a warm brownie. Mmmmm :)

Me wowing the crowd with my incredible speech ;)

Sisters <3 font="">

Overall, the day was absolutely beautiful; I couldn't have been a prouder big sister! The happy couple is now enjoying their honeymoon in Australia (jealous!), from which I hope they bring me home a koala or two. Please?! ;)

Thanks for reading, everyone! More makeup posts coming soon :)

  2. She looks perfect, the dress is so divine! It must have been so emotional to see her getting married, I'm proud of my little sister for every little progress she makes, I can't even imagine what I'll feel when this moment comes (Oh , look at me rambling, she's only 10 haha). Your dress is beautiful as well, such a pretty color!

    Have a lovely weekend,
