Nail of the Day: Easter Intrigue

Hey, everyone! Hope all of you enjoyed the long/holiday weekend! So it's been ages since I've done a proper Nail of the Day post, partly because my nails are often in crappy condition and partly because I can be incredibly lazy when it comes to painting my nails. Luckily, a festive holiday is usually enough impetus for me to get it done, so here it is: my Easter nails look!

I've seen some really artistic and adorable Easter-themed nail art in the blogosphere, but I was a bit lazy decided to keep things simple and opted for a solid, Easter-egg inspired hue. I chose Revlon Brilliant Strength Nail Enamel in Intrigue, which is a new and much appreciated addition to my nail polish collection. Here's a shot of me wearing it:

Revlon Brilliant Strength Nail Varnish in Intrigue
As you can see, it's a cheery sky blue with periwinkle undertones and subtle silver shimmer. So perfect for spring! Under certain lighting, the shimmer also flashes turquoise and purple, so it can look quite multifaceted at the right angle. It is slightly less purple on the nails than it looks in the bottle, but I am quite happy with it nonetheless. Quite a unique shade in my books!

Revlon Brilliant Strength Nail Enamel in Intrigue
Revlon's Brilliant Strength line is a new one. The range promises a formula that strengthens nails while integrating both base and top coats into the nail polish itself. The shade selection to the line is really impressive! So many lovely options, but it was Intrigue that stood out the most to me. I really had nothing like it in my collection!

I applied about three coats to reach the opacity shown in the photos, but I definitely think you could get away with two. At one coat, the finish is quite sheer, but actually very pretty if a sheer look is what you're going for!

Revlon Intrigue under a mix of natural and artificial light

I've only been wearing the shade for a couple days, but so far the wear has been formidable! Minimal chipping and a good maintenance of the slightly shiny finish.

Here are a couple more shots:

And that's it! What do you think of this shade? Something you'd wear? What are some of your favourite Easter egg-inspired nail colours?
