Makeup of the Month | June: A Charlotte Tilbury Haul (finally!)

Hi, everyone! Charlotte Tilbury Week marches on and today's post brings you the lot of goodies that I snagged from the brand after its recent Canadian launch at Holt Renfrew. The title is marked with finally because, as I explained in my last post, I've been lusting after this brand for months but had never bitten the bullet (shipping and taxes to Canada were intense!). But the very day that a sneak-peek Charlotte Tilbury counter was opened at Holts, I swooped in and made a pretty epic pre-order.

As a side note, to label this my June Makeup of the Month is clearly a bit of a stretch, as I bought a ton of stuff in NYC earlier this month, but since I consider both Sephora sales and New York trips as exceptions to my one purchase per month resolution, I can hang onto my dignity just slightly :)

All Charlotte Tilbury products come boxed in glossy brown with rose gold lettering and logos. All very posh. Likewise, all of the packaging has a brown and rose gold theme that feels quite vintage. Totally up my alley! The packaging isn't quite as weighty as other high-end brands in my stash (as much of it is high-quality plastic, rather than metal), but it still feels quite study and sleek.

As for the products I selected, they were a mix of brand new goodies and items that I'd been swooning over for ages, I snagged:

Colour Chamelon in Bronzed Garnet
Described as a "Colour-morphing eye pencil for green eyes", Bronzed Garnet is a stunning coppery bronze shade with hints of reddy orange. No, I don't have green eyes, but I could care less. This colour is incredibly stunning!

Luxury Palette in The Dolce Vita
This is the #1 Charlotte Tilbury product I'd been lusting over since the brand's launch. The warm, shimmery neutral tones are right up my alley and the idea of channelling my inner Sophia Loren was incredibly appealing. Plus, the bronzey red and shimmery gold shades are totally unique!

Eyes To Mesmerize in Marie Antoinette and Cleopatra
These are the newest addition to the Charlotte Tilbury lineup and they caught my eye right away because the shades looked gorgeous and the formula, so easy to wear. I selected Marie Antoinette, a cool shimmery gold, after seeing it in Charlotte's Amal Clooney tutorial (seriously stunning) and I could not pass by the bold teal of Cleopatra

K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick in Stoned Rose
I wanted to choose a lipstick shade that would be unique in my stash as well as compliment the Dolce Vita palette. Stoned Rose fits that bill perfectly! It's a muted rosy brick beige that's one part '90s, one part '60s Italian goddess.

Cheek to Chic Blusher in Ecstasy
This blush wasn't in my pre-order, but after seeing it swatched by Stacey and then spying it in-person, I had to bring it home. Ecstasy is totally my kind of blush- ultra shimmery with a warm peachy pink hue. The lighter peachier outer ring is meant to be swept across the entire cheekbone, while the darker, rosier centre creates a "pop" on the apples of your cheeks. Pretty smart!

Here are swatches of all the Charlotte Tilbury products I picked up in this haul:

I have delved into everything so far except for Cleopatra (need a bit of a special occasion for that one) and I have to say I have not been disappointed by a single one! The shades are beautiful, the textures are a dream to work with, and the formulas are comfortable and long-wearing. Plus, they make me feel utterly glamorous. Can't ask for much more than that!

Look out on Saturday for my version of The Dolce Vita look. I had lots of fun with it!

Have you tried anything from Charlotte Tilbury cosmetics? Did I tempt you with anything here?

Have a fab day! xo

  3. Oh my god woman, you went CRAZY. (And I love it!)

I'm sitting here salivating over everything you picked up. That Cleopatra cream shadow is unbelievably gorgeous - I can't believe how vibrant it looks. I'm definitely eyeballing a blush and a lipstick for my next order I think! Gotta save up though... those prices are no joke.

  15. I'm not sure if my comment went through or not... anyway! Great selection ;) I've been dying to get my hands on the summer collection, the quads and the newest eyes to memorize. Being the packaging snob I am, I wish she used a sturdier material. Still, need to check CT out

  17. I have been lusting over Charlotte Tilbury for SUCH a long time...ever since her brand launch I have been thinking to buy, but I haven't gotten around to doing so because of how expensive it is. FANTASTIC haul you have here, the Dolce Vita Palette and Eyes to Mesmerize are two things I have been seriously lusting over!

  18. A blogger friend of mine raved about 'Bronzed Garnet' a while back and I've been lusting after it ever since but GON' SKIP OUT ON IT BECAUSE CT IS EXPENSIVE AND I NEED TO PRIORITIZE MY SPENDING TO PRODUCTS I *NEED*. Cleopatra is SUPER PRETTY and I'd also totes snag that if I were made of money. Can't wait to see a FOTD featuring it! (Sidenote, I do find that the cream eyeshadow creases on me by the end of the day though :()
