Shoppers Surprise Points Event Haul!

Hi, everyone! Two weekends ago Shoppers Drug Mart had a fun Surprise Optimum Points event when, with any $75 purchase, you got to select a bonus card awarding you one of three generous amounts of points. The very least was $18,500 points, which gets you $25 of free goodies, so you couldn't really lose! I have to admit that I took advantage of this offer twice that weekend and, although I scored the lowest level of points both times, I still found it so worth it! I tried to stock up on as many practical items as possible during these purchases, but of course I walked out with some beauty treats as well. Since you probably don't want to see the toilet paper and aspirin side of things, I thought I'd shine a light on the pretty bits I picked up.

Here's the lot of them:

Essence Beach Cruisers Bronzing Powder
This adorable little bronzer was in the clearance bin for only $3! Given the praises I've heard for this budget brand, I couldn't pass up this palm tree-embossed offering, especially given the price.

Stila Convertible Colour in Camellia
I'm a huge fan of these multi-purpose cheek and lip colours. I already own Gerbera (a cheery coral) and Lilium (a neutral pink), and the sultry summer months drew me to Camellia, a bronzy caramel shade. I have a feeling this will give a beautiful sun-kissed flush!

Revlon Nail Enamel in Elusive
I'm a sucker for Revlon polishes and this jet black with teal and blue glitter really spoke to me. One part vamp, one part edge. Totally up my alley!

Essie Nail Polish in Marshmallow
I've been running alongside the white  nail polish bandwagon for some time and I finally jumped on. Marshmallow looked like a soft, sheer white that would help ease me into the trend. Can't wait to give it a go!

Clinique Quickliner Intense for Eyes in Intense Chocolate
Clinique liners are truly awesome. Smooth, pigmented, long-wearing, and rather affordable! I though that Intense Chocolate, a rich, deep, cocoa, would serve as a perfect everyday liner when I'm not in a black liquid cat-eye sort of mood.

Quo Concealer Brush
I generally find that Quo brushes are quite nice for the price. I own several! Though this is aimed at concealer, I plan on using it for cream and gel liners. These ultra slim bristles will do the job perfectly!

Quo Crease Blender Brush
This was on clearance for only $3, so was hard to pass up! It's tapered to fit perfectly in the crease of the eye and blend colour out effortlessly. Can totally see this one becoming a daily staple.

Revlon ColourStay Whipped Creme Makeup in Buff (x2)
This is my #1 foundation pick for the Fall and Winter months, so it was a perfect time to stock up. It offers incredible coverage without looking cakey and really wears all day long. Since it was on sale, I snagged two!

I'm so happy with everything I picked up at Shoppers during the Surprise Points event. I nabbed some amazing bargain buys and treated myself to a couple more luxurious options. A perfect variety that I can't wait to delve into!

Have you taken advantage of any Shoppers events lately? Any recent drugstore discoveries?

Thanks for reading! xo

  11. I only got the 18K points as well - I totally didn't know you could redeem this multiple times as I would have done the same ;) I picked up mostly necessities but did manage to pick up 1-2 beauty items!

  12. Yay haul!

I wish I could use the Clinique liners. I tried the black one and was impressed by the lasting power. However, I am allergic to the formula (insert sad kitty face)! That Revlon nail polish looks very promising! I never wear glitter (because I'm lazy), but I always enjoy seeing it on other people!
