New Job, New Haircut, New Haul!

Hey, everyone! Just writing a quick-ish note to apologize for my lack of posts lately. I started a new job on Tuesday(!) and am taking some time to get settled in (and vegetate relax in the evening after the long days). The position is a year-long internship that's required to complete my PhD. It will be busy and demanding, but undeniably rewarding! Despite the change of pace, I'm hoping to keep up with blogging as best as I can. But please bear with me in the meantime :)

And in case you didn't notice from the picture above, I got a fresh new haircut to go with my new job! I've had super long hair for years and years and was definitely ready for a change. All of the wavy, mid-length bobs that have been everywhere lately had me totally smitten and my stylist did a great job creating something similar that works for my face shape.

Though the cut isn't dramatically short, it's a length my hair hasn't seen since I was 12 years old. I thought the new look would take some getting used to, but it was love at first sight! Shorter hair means different styling, and I've been having fun testing out new products and techniques to make it look its best. Perhaps a future post?!

Another exciting development was the arrival of my Feel Unique order this week! I found it on my doorstep after my first day of work, which was the ultimate treat after a stressful day. It was full of goodies from Elemental Herbology, Antipodes, Daniel Sandler, and Garnier, most of which cannot be found here in Toronto. So thrilled to give them a go!

Thanks again for sticking with me during my mini absence. I promise to be back soon with more Summer Roundup Posts, my August Empties, some fresh Fall inspiration, and-of course- a review of my new haul!

Cheers! xo

  24. The best thing about getting a completely new do is trying out different styles. I bet you'd look great with a messy bun with some loose locks framing your face. Anyway, you look great! And congrats on the new job!
