Quickie Review: Tocca Solid Perfume in Brigitte

Hey, everyone! Welcome to my first-ever Quickie Review! This will be a series of posts that are quick and to the point, but hopefully still informative! Because really, some products don't need an elaborate description, but are still totally worth the spotlight.

Today I'm featuring one of my favourite scents, Tocca Profumo Solido in Brigitte. This scent comes in various forms (a traditional perfume spray bottle, a rich body cream, and a super luxe candle), but I chose the solid perfume version because it is cute, compact, affordable, and still features the incredible fragrance!

As you can see, the solid perfume is housed in a small, round jar with elegant, gilded script and detailing. So lovely! Aside from the alluring scent, one of the reasons I selected Brigitte was because the name instantly made me think of Brigitte Bardot, one of the most stunning French beauties of all time (see pic below for evidence). I subsequently learned that Tocca had the same inspiration when designing the scent, so I was on the right track!

The back of the container lists the notes of the perfume, in this case Moroccan Rose, Ginger, and Saffron. As would be expected from this concoction, Brigitte is a perfect balance between floral and spicy. I find it to be warm, sophisticated, feminine, and super sexy! And the scent is quite long-lasting, which is not always the case for solid perfumes. A nice bonus!

One time when I was wearing the scent, my boyfriend noted "I like this perfume- you smell like cigars... in a good way!" What a guy. While I don't find the scent to be particularly smokey, I think he was picking up on the mix of complex spices and the slightly herbal aroma in the perfume. But yeah, I really have to make a list of his impressions of my cosmetics. They're always amusing!

Here's a shot of what the perfume itself looks like. It has a waxy-cream consistency and a lovely warm, golden hue. It even leaves subtle shimmer on the skin, which is a nice touch!

Here are a few more shots:

Overall, this is one of my favourite scents! The feminine, compact packaging is perfect and the fragrance always makes me feel like a French movie star from the 1960s. Can't go wrong with that! If I've piqued your interest, you can find Tocca fragrances at Sephora.

Have you ever tested out Tocca Brigitte? Any other favourite scents from the brand?

Happy Friday! :)

  2. I always admire these perfumes at Sephora because the packaging is so beautiful. The solid one is cheaper than the big bottles right? I like the idea of this as it would be perfect for travel. And you should make a post devoted to your bf's reactions; I know if I did a post with my bf's comments it would be very very long.

    1. The pretty packaging is what lured me in too! And yes, the solid perfumes are about half the price as the bottles. Definitely a good value! Haha, yeah a bf's opinions type of post would be amusing (and lengthy) for sure! ;)
