Look of the Day: Whopping Willow

Hi, everyone! Today's Look of the Day is all about earthy, Fall tones- burnished golds and mossy greens. Shades that I don't play with nearly often enough, but always enjoy!

As per the title of this post, the product that first inspired this look is Clinique's Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes in Whopping Willow, a creamy, warm, khaki green with warm golden shimmer. It's super lovely! It glides on like a dream, is perfectly pigmented, and really lasts all day.

Before I had the chance to give Whopping Willow a go, I stumbled across its perfect partner, in the form of the brand spankin' new NARS Eye Paint in Iskandar. Would have named this post Iskandar, but I thought Whopping Willow had a better ring to it ;)

Iskandar Eye Paint  is a stunning shimmery burnished gold. It has warm undertones that lean slightly olive, which makes it incredibly compatible with Whopping Willow. Together, they're pure golden green goodness!

To create the look, I applied Iskandar all over the lid, blending it up to the crease. I also applied it to the lower lash line to add a pop of gold underneath the eye. I then swiped some Whopping Willow on the crease and to the outer corner of the lower lash line, blending it into the NARS Eye Paint. I finished off with some warm brown eyeliner (Urban Decay 24/7 in Bourbon) and some dramatic black mascara (BeneFit They're Real!). And voila!

For the rest of the face, I opted for warm, shimmery peachy-pink cheeks (my all-time fave, NARS Deep Throat) and kept my lips natural and rosy, using my favourite frugal find, Bonne Bell Dr. Pepper Lipsmacker.

Here's another look at the finished makeup, followed by a breakdown of everything I used!

The Breakdown:

F
oundation: Revlon ColourStay Liquid Foundation (Combination/Oily Formula) in Buff mixed with Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector (Combination to Oily Skin) BB Cream in Light/Medium
Concealer: Hard Candy Glamoflauge in Light

And a few more shots of the look:

And there you have it! A fun, Fall-inspired look rich with shimmery khaki and molten golds. Whopping Willow and Iskandar are both absolute pleasures to use; looking forward to playing with them all Autumn long!

What are some of your favourite gold and olive tones for Fall? Have you tried any of the Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tints or NARS Eye Paints?

Thanks for popping by! xo
